Happy Mother's Day!

Lil gift + life update

Hello friends!

Oh man, how long it's been! I hope you all have been well since I last wrote in February. Firstly, I realize that many new people have joined the newsletter, many of whom are classmates and even some of my professors.. Before anything, I would like to say welcome! This is the JungleNoise Newsletter, something I one day hope to turn into a space for topics of art, philosophy, music, and faith. Today’s email, however, will just be a little life update :) Here are today’s topics!

  • Happy Mother’s Day! (little gift at the end of the post)

  • Upcoming Event

  • DREAMER Update

  • Personal Update

Upcoming Event

If you’re in New York on May 30th, I will be doing a little listening party at school with two friends of mine. It will be free at 8 pm on the 3rd floor of 500 West 52nd Street, 10019!

DREAMER update

Guys! This next batch of music is special. If Lover was the exploration of genre between each song, Dreamer is the exploration of blending genres within each song. It's an alternative hip-hop album with moments of folk, gospel, blues, and pop… at least that's my best way of trying to sum it up. I guess it's safe to say that having access to such an eclectic group of collaborators here at Berklee has paid off!

Personal Update

In all honesty, my friends, although music and school have been keeping me busy, I am going through some personal things that have not been so easy. There are moments when grief cripples me in such a way that leaves no room for understanding towards those who I believe played a part in this loss. Thankfully, in those moments, I have people to reach out to who can help me empathize. Even here in New York, I have been blessed with a support system that has brought me much comfort. Please pray for me!

Mother’s Day Gift!

I wrote this song in the first semester when I was missing my mom. It's a special little song that I intend to release officially for next year’s Mother’s Day, but I wanted to share it with you all for this year. Feel free to send it to your Mamas :)

Take care, my friends, please do feel free to reply to me through this email!
